Sea Cotuit Village Festival
Memorial Day weekend May 24-25, 2008 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A village-wide maritime festival involving the Cahoon Museum of American Art, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cotuit Library, and Historical Society of Santuit and Cotuit involving art, theatre, readings and historical exhibitions. Trolley service will connect all institutions. The Cahoon Museum will feature an exhibition of maritime paintings. There will also be a free public maritime-related concert at the museum by "The Cape Cod Conservatory Jazz Ensemble" on Saturday, May 24 and a walking tour of the museum's maritime collection by museum director Dr. Robert Gambone.

13th Annual Kitchen Tour

Saturday, June 7, 2008 10 a.m. to 3 p.m

The 2008 Kitchen Tour, featuring six exceptional homes in the North Falmouth area. This popular tour features demonstrations, floral displays, raffles and artists painting on location. Tickets available through museum and at selected locations in Falmouth Mashpee and Osterville.
In advance, members $30; non-members $35. Day of event $40.

Bus Trip to Gardner Museum
Thursday, June 12, 2008

Join us for an exciting trip to one of Boston's most unique and unusual art treasures-the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. We travel by motor coach from the Marstons Mills bus stop at 9:30 a.m., arriving at the Gardner around 11:30 for a private docent-led tour. We'll enjoy a delicious lunch at the museum restaurant after which you'll be free to take additional leisurely gallery walks and view a variety of film offerings. The bus leaves the Gardner in the early afternoon for the return trip to Cotuit. The price is $80 all-inclusive. Please call Sue at 508-420-1773 for reservations.

17th Annual Great Brush Off!
Live and Silent Auction

July 12, 2008 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

During the morning and afternoon approximately 80 artists will fan out around Cotuit to paint. Many of them will have access to private yards with spectacular gardens or outstanding views of the water. The live auction begins at 2:00 p.m. The festive atmosphere on Cotuit's village green will include music, food and a silent art auction too. Bring your folding chairs and plan to spend a delightful summer afternoon at this wonderful fundraiser for the Cahoon Museum. (Auctions and festivities will be held on the village green, Main Street, Cotuit)

Cahoon in Bloom
Thurs.-Sun., August 14-17, 2008 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.



The Cahoon Museum of American Art and the Osterville Garden Club's first "Cahoon in Bloom" will feature flower arrangements by six award-winning gardeners during the museum's exhibition "At Home in America: 19th Century Genre Painting." Each arrangement will be done by a different gardener and each arrangement will be coordinated to a specifc genre painting. General admission to the Museum for this event will be $10.00 - $8.00 for museum members. Special flower related merchandise will be featured in the Mermaid's Cove gift shop for this event.
